Yes, completely free. ZooBlocks runs in your browser with no downloads, no installs, and no account. Even the zoo economy — the bear at 500 diamonds, upgrades, every later animal — is earned purely by playing; there is nothing in the game to purchase.
Effectively infinite. Levels are procedurally generated after the first five teaching levels, the board grows from 4×4 to 9×9 by level 15, and goal quotas keep scaling (capped at difficulty 60) so the curve stays interesting.
Two things matter: better turns and a bigger zoo. Overlap turns (a line clear plus an animal pop in one placement) are worth multiples of plain clears, and your zoo's income-per-second, divided by five, multiplies every future level's payout — a zoo running 210 diamonds per second converts a 10,000-point level into 420,000 diamonds. For step-by-step math see the Scoring guide; for upgrade order see the Strategy guide.
Any edge-connected group of 3+ same-animal cells pops when your newly placed piece touches the group — a group made purely of fresh piece cells never pops. Pops resolve at the same time as line clears and stack on top of them.
Progress is stored locally in your browser (level, score, best score, zoo, and daily streak). No account is required. Clearing your browser storage resets everything, so keep data you care about.
No accounts, no sign-ups, no passwords. The game and all saves live on your device.
The run ends when none of the remaining tray pieces can fit on the board. Placement planning is the survival skill: keep flexible space for bulky shapes and singles for one-cell holes.
Once the zoo is active: yes. Three daily quests reset at local midnight; finishing all three banks the combined reward. Clearing them on consecutive days keeps the streak counter alive.
Zoo income ticks only while the game is open in a browser tab. Close the tab and earnings pause; come back and they resume. Zoo state always saves.

Yes — the board adapts to the viewport, pieces are sized for touch, and the tray sits above the mode-switch tabs. Placement uses touch drag or tap-select, tap-place, whichever feels natural. The layout is tuned for portrait phone screens as well as desktop windows.
Yes. The block puzzle, the animal faces, the pop rules, the zoo economy, the daily challenge system, and the guide content on this site were built specifically for ZooBlocks. Nothing here is reskinned or licensed from another product.
There are no leaderboards, because the game deliberately keeps everything local: your progress, best score, and zoo never leave your device. This keeps ZooBlocks fully playable offline once the page has loaded and removes any account risk. Your personal rivals are your own best score (kept for comparison at game over) and the daily challenge targets.
The zoo is a late-load layer by design: finishing level 1 activates the zoo tab and the diamond counter, guaranteeing every player reaches the economy with a reward in hand. From that moment, every level cleared or lost contributes diamonds, and the zoo tab stays available from the puzzle view.
The How to Play guide covers rules in order, and the contact page has the email for anything that needs a human.
